Director of the Guyana Tourism Authority,
Indranauth Haralsingh, sees agro tourism as a
natural fit for Guyana’s agricultural-based
society. He speaks glowingly of good examples
such as the use of organic pineapples in the
Tri-Lake region. 
Annette Arjoon. Project Coordinator of the
Guyana Marine Turtle Conservation Society shares
the same view on the urgent need for marketing
and packaging Guyana’s rich assets, using
traditional and modern digital tools. She also
feels that the need to work with the local tour
operators is a major priority.
