Groups:
EACH OF THE THREE
GROUPS will be required to develop for their group
of countries, a framework for a Caribbean
AgroTourism Programme, comprising Actions to be
implemented in the short, medium and long term,
based on areas of common interest and/or need, viz:
-
Short-term,
immediately implementable projects (low hanging
fruit);
-
Medium term
actions (next 2-3 years) needed at national,
sub-regional and/or regional level;
-
Long term
actions (3-5 year) at national, sub-regional
and/or regional level.
For each of these
levels of action, groups may consider support
required with respect to:

Institutional
mechanisms (national linkages committees, resource
centres, joint ministerial forums)
-
Policies in support
of Trade along the value chain (domestic markets,
intra-regional trade)
-
Policies in support
of Investment in agro and rural based tourism

Human resource
development (skills development and capacity
building)

Promotion and Public Awareness
